Terms of Service

These terms apply to every order you place with Ebookifi (www.ebookifi.com). By placing an order, you agree to them. If anything is unclear, email support@ebookifi.com before you order.

1. Our services

Ebookifi provides eBook conversion, fixed layout and print formatting, cover design, validation and repair, corrections, book indexing, book scanning and OCR, and related publishing services, as described on our website.

All services are delivered digitally. The only exception is Book Scanning & OCR: if you send us a physical book, you pay the cost of posting it to us, we scan it without damaging it, and we’ll return it if you ask us to when you request your quote.

2. Orders and prices

  • Prices are in US dollars and shown on our Pricing page and each service page. Custom-quoted projects are priced in your written quote.
  • Prices for page-based services are based on your manuscript’s page count at 12pt, double-spaced, in Microsoft Word. If your manuscript is longer than the size you ordered, or more complex than a standard conversion, we’ll contact you before starting: you can pay the difference or cancel for a full refund.
  • One promo code can be used per order, and codes can’t be combined. Custom quotes are priced individually, so standard promo codes don’t apply automatically. See our Offers page for current codes.

3. Payment

Payment is due when you place your order. We accept all major credit and debit cards and PayPal, and bank transfer for orders over $200. Your order is confirmed once payment is received. We never store your full card details.

4. Your manuscript

  • Please send your final, edited manuscript. Changes you ask for after work has started may be charged; we’ll always tell you the cost first.
  • You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, all the text and images you send us.
  • We may decline work that is unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights.

5. Delivery

  • Standard delivery: we deliver fixed-price orders within 72 hours of receiving your manuscript. The clock starts when we receive your file, not when you pay.
  • Rush delivery: for a flat $25, Kindle, ePub, and Bundle orders are delivered within 24 hours of receiving your manuscript. For other services, contact us to check availability.
  • Custom-quoted projects — such as scanning and OCR, indexing, or complex manuscripts — are delivered by the date given in your quote.
  • If we need information from you to continue (for example, a missing image or a question about your layout), the delivery clock pauses until you reply.

If we miss a delivery guarantee, you’re entitled to a refund as set out in our Refund Policy.

6. Revisions and lifetime warranty

  • Revision pass: every order includes one revision pass. Reply to your delivery email within 30 days with anything you’d like adjusted in our formatting.
  • Lifetime warranty: if you find an error caused by our work — today or years from now — we fix it free of charge. There’s no expiry date.
  • The warranty covers errors in our work. It doesn’t cover new changes to your text or content; for those, see our eBook Corrections service.
  • We delete our copies of your files 30 days after delivery, so please keep the source files we send you. For a warranty fix after that, just send them back to us.

7. Ownership of your book

You keep full copyright and ownership of your manuscript and of the converted files and source files we deliver. You give us permission to use your files only to complete your order. We claim no rights to your content, and we won’t publish or share your book without your permission.

8. Refunds

Our Refund Policy explains when you’re entitled to a refund and how to request one. It forms part of these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales or royalties. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can’t be excluded.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, we’ll first try to resolve it with you in good faith by email. If that isn’t possible, the dispute will be handled by the courts of India.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page, with its “Last updated” date, applies to orders placed from that date.
